Everything here, from argument to presentation, was produced by one person — without any external funding, grants, or donations. That isn’t to say it was free to make: it took the better part of a year, from idea to first release, and the time concentrated on the project displaced income, drained savings, crowded out social connections, and paid for the tools needed to build it. That was my choice, and I don’t regret it. I’m not asking anyone to cover what’s already been spent — but going forward, I can’t give the book any more serious attention without a livelihood.
